Silent Running is ingenious, noisy, full of melodies, and a bold experimentation in the last three tracks. After years of partial activity through constant line-up moves, Watertank put the final touch to their 3rd record in the summer of 2019. Named « Silent Running », the album is out in May 1st 2020, and refers to the idea of evolving behind the scenes, working unexposed. Romain Donet from the punk hardcore band Chaviré joined Watertank during the recording process, and Willy Étié (Weak) is now performing bass duties for (let’s hope) many shows to come.

Because of those personnel changes, this new batch of songs is sounding more rockish than before, but still loud. Extendind their Post-Hardcore roots with a blend of influences from Alternative-Rock to Shoegaze. Lyrically openhearted yet a bit cryptic, a theme emerges throughout the record, inspired by the front cover glass-tardigrade survival features and resilience, but still about to implode, fitting the band ultimately.
